shiramind: From February through July 2011, I went on a journey to Israel where I lived and worked on a kibbutz while studying Hebrew. This was not just a semester away from my college life but a "going forth," as the title suggests - an adventure both without and within myself, an expedition to find something invigorating, astounding, and life-changing - all of which I did.
